They’re called “scrub techs.” Or they’re known as “operating technicians.” No matter the name, Kirtland Community College stands ready to help students prepare for a successful career in one of today’s growing health care occupations – Surgical Technology. Surgical technology includes the practice of trained individuals to work under medical supervision for the facilitation of various procedures. These skilled professionals work with surgeons and other medical personal to ensure a safe environment is provided for the patient, as well as monitoring equipment to maximize the patient’s well-being.

DUAL ENROLLMENT FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Still in high school but already looking forward to college? You don’t have to wait to graduate to start your college career at Kirtland Community College. Get started now. Kirtland’s dual enrollment programs allow area high school students the ability to jump start their futures and earn college credits, with their current school district often helping pay the tuition (depending on school district and the course being taken). Students interested in dual enrollment should first contact their high school counseling office.
